The Riesling PUR is a so-called "Orange Wine". Like red wine, it was fermented with the skins and no sulfur was added throughout the vinification process. This is the reason for its amber color and also for the name "Orange Wine". Important prerequisites for such a wine are healthy grapes and stony soil. After the spontaneous fermentation, the wine was poured into small used oak barrels for the further, slow maturation process. The Riesling PUR 2019 was 6 weeks on the mash. It has beautiful tannins, intense herbal notes followed by a mineral and spicy finish. This makes the wine an excellent accompaniment to food. Try the Riesling with oysters!
