Like all our wines, the Grüner Velltiner Alte Reben 16 was read by hand and spontaneously fermented. This was followed by a 1-year maturation in large used wooden barrels. As always, it is a ripe, creamy reserve wine with tobacco but also some fruit in the nose and a pleasantly delicate, elegant palate. Ideal food companion to spicy dishes with or without meat.

Our Grüner Veltliner Loess grows - as its name suggests - on a loess soil at approx. 320m above sea level below our Heurigen restaurant "Weinbeisserei". The vines are already over 50 years old and thus bring a lot of character and taste to the wine. After the manual harvest and spontaneous fermentation, we filled the wine in steel tanks to mature there for a year on the fine lees.
